Our YAL members met with Dr. Manfred Bräunl, CEO of Porsche Middle East and Africa, who discussed the brand’s continuous success by introducing the first ever fully electric car, the Taycan, as part of its Porsche E-Performance strategy. It is aligned with the organizations’ ambitious plans for long-term sustainability. The private conversation was held under the Executive Meetup series exclusively organized by Young Arab Leaders after a high-value networking session. About the Speaker:

Following his studies of economics and business administration at the University Mannheim/Germany, Dr. Manfred Bräunl began his automotive career in the international management trainee program at BMW’s headquarter in Munich/Germany.

During his career at BMW, he held various senior management positions in the areas of Finance, Sales and Marketing in both Germany and Canada, before moving to Maserati’s headquarters as their Global Marketing Director in Modena/Italy. Following his tenure at Maserati, Dr. Bräunl joined Porsche China as Vice President Marketing, where he worked 5 years in Shanghai/China until being promoted in 2019 to become the Chief Executive Officer at Porsche Middle East and Africa. In this role he is leading Porsche’s regional office in Dubai/UAE that is responsible for the entire operations across 21 countries in the GCC, Levant, Africa and India.

Dr. Bräunl, who holds a German and a Canadian citizenship, obtained a PhD in Business Administration from University Mannheim/Germany in 2010 and is an official Guest Professor at Tongji University Shanghai/China since 2017.”
