DESCRIPTION:In the latest Young Arab Leaders’ Corporate Visit Event that was held in the ENOC Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai on February 3\, 2022\, the YAL members were exclusively hosted by Shamma Al Rahmah\, Director at ENOC\, and the ENOC Management Team who explained why ENOC is a leading integrated international oil and gas player operating across the energy sector value chain. \nENOC being the Official Integrated Energy Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai and deploying the latest innovations\, technologies and best practices towards the UAE!s social and economic development\, have offered an engaging\, multi-sensory experience comprised in their four structured pavilion to pay tribute to the energy story as a human story. \nWith an immersive experience within the pavilion\, the YAL Members were then led by Shamma Al Falasi\, Site Operations and Control Coordinator at Expo 2020\, who conveyed ENOC’s unique concept of discovering and reimagining what energy enables and promises using ultra-haptic technology\, moving image\, kinetic installation and interactive projection. Alongside a captivating unique visit\, the use of energy within the ENOC Pavilion allowed the Industry Experts to “feel”and interact with energy throughout the whole tour. \nThe YAL Corporate Visits aim to foster meaningful relationships within the community to discuss significant solutions to the region’s most pressing socio-economic challenges. \nTo quote YAL Chairperson Muna Al Gurg: “It has been an absolute honor and pleasure for Young Arab Leaders (YAL) to partner with ENOC\, one of the leading and most influential gas and oil companies in the UAE. DESCRIPTION:In our latest power lunch\, we had the privilege of hosting H.E Khaled Al Huraimel\, Group Chief Executive Officer at Bee’ah\, and Hind Al Huwaidi\, Direction of Education at Bee’ah. Khaled shared exclusive insights on the full-circle strategy at Bee’ah\, which has led the company to evolve from a leader in waste management to a pioneer in shaping future-critical industries such as clean energy\, environmental consulting\, digital transformation\, training and development\, sustainable transport and more. \nIn addition to operations in these industries\, we learned how Bee’ah is helping shape the next generation of sustainability ambassadors. Hind shared her insights on leading the Bee’ah School of Environment\, which partners with over 700 schools in the UAE to promote curriculum-based environmental learning\, inculcating sustainable values\, raising awareness and inspiring action among young students. Watch the highlights video here. \n  \nAbout the Speaker \n\nKhaled Al Huraimel is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Bee’ah\, and has served in this capacity since August 2009. Under his leadership\, Bee’ah has transformed from a waste management company to a sustainability pioneer that is setting new benchmarks for quality of life across the MENA region. \nKhaled has been the driving force behind Bee’ah’s vision for the future\, facilitating the achievement of several remarkable milestones\, such as the company’s expansion into Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia\, as well as building the first waste-to-energy plant in the UAE through the Emirates Waste to Energy Company\, a joint venture with Masdar. He has founded new ventures ION\, the first sustainable transport company in the UAE; and founded EVOTEQ to lead digital transformation through the creation of disruptive\, technological platforms. \nTaking the helm when Bee’ah was in the preliminary stages of pursuing a zero-waste ambition\, Khaled enforced this ambition and took it even further. He implemented state-of-the-art solutions and a unique approach to a circular economy\, supporting Bee’ah to establish the UAE’s first fully integrated waste management complex\, and achieve the highest waste diversion rates in the Middle East. From improving the quality of natural resources like air and water\, to executing awareness initiatives for communities\, Bee’ah took a holistic approach to environmental management under Khaled’s stewardship. \nKhaled has led the diversification of Bee’ah’s portfolio\, investing in ventures ranging from renewable energy\, to healthcare\, mobility\, and technology\, to execute an all-encompassing master plan to raise living standards across the region. Championing the Middle East’s move towards green architectural solutions\, Khaled is also overseeing the establishment of Bee’ah’s new headquarters. Designed by Zaha Hadid\, the sustainable\, net-zero energy building is slated be the smartest office in the region. \nPrior to joining Bee’ah\, Khaled held leadership roles at ENOC\, Nakheel and Arabian Global Investments\, using innovative insights to achieve remarkable results. He has also founded several successful startups. \nKhaled is a regular contributor for leading media publications in the UAE\, and is often quoted in the press for comments on sustainability\, digitalisation\, alternative energy and the environment. He has also spoken at various international events and conferences. \nKhaled graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing\, from King Fahd University\, and an MBA from the University of Bradford. He also graduated from the Harvard Business School’s prestigious Senior Executive Leadership Program and the Dubai Leaders Programme at the Wharton Business School.

Ehtesham led a team to transform Junkbot from an idea to a community of 50\,000\nmakers around the world. Junkbot kits are used by 500+ schools in MENA region. Ehtesham and Junkbot team have launched\ntheir B2C platform skillplay.co to help MENA region prepare for the future skills. Junkbot is a DIY robotic kit that\ntransforms household objects into unique robots that can be programmed for a variety of functions. Ehtesham shared the\nstory of Junkbot\, the challenges faced during the pandemic and the lessons learned.
