About the Speaker
Hussein is a Public and Private sector leader with more than 20 years of experience in the service and logistics industry, He is currently the CEO of Fetchr, and his prior experience includes UPS where he served as the Managing Director for the Middle East.
Prior to joining UPS, Hussein served as a full time Advisor to the Federal Government at the UAE’s Prime Minister’s Office and before that he used to Lead Aramex International in the Gulf region, where he spent almost 17 years of his career.
Hussein is a passionate public speaker and a very active member of the entrepreneurship community. He has completed the Exponential Leadership Program from Singularity University, US and Advanced Strategic Management program from IMD, Switzerland.
About the Moderator
Ned is a seasoned founder-executive with a cross-border experience of successfully establishing and leading business and innovation divisions for private and public sector organizations like AWS, Intel, CA Technologies, UAE Prime Minister’s Office and Expo 2020 Dubai. Ned is currently Startups and Venture Capital Lead in the Middle East and North Africa at AWS. He has also worked in senior roles at five successfully exited startups in the US and the Middle East, and launched the first international incubator in the MENA region, 1776 Dubai, in partnership with the Dubai Future Foundation.
Ned gives back to the community by mentoring high-impact entrepreneurs and has served as founding Board Member, United Nations ICT Arab Task Force; Board Member, Young Arab Leaders; Founding President, Stanford UAE Alumni Club; and Steering Committee Member, in5 Tech Innovation Centre. He holds an M.S. from Stanford University, a B.S. from Northeastern University, and an Executive Education Certificate in Management from INSEAD.
