Entrepreneur Workshop Series, organized by Young Arab Leaders in strategic partnership with Mohammed Bin Rashid Est. for SME Development (Dubai SME) under its educational arm Dubai Entrepreneurship Academy & the Hamdan Innovation Incubator, held its 9th out of 10 sessions last November 27, 2017 at the Business Village, Deira, Dubai, UAE. This entrepreneur-focused series presents unique topics to the UAE startup community with regional mentors & speakers aimed at educating & providing entrepreneurs with tools to launch or scale their businesses.

About the Speaker
Igor Shkamratov has been the Regional Digital Solutions Manager at InfoFort since 2016. He is responsible for consulting businesses and delivering projects in the area of Digital Transformation across the Middle East and Africa. He has been working as IT solutions practitioner since 2009. Igor received his MA in Economics from Moscow State University, Russia, and studied Exponential Technologies at Singularity University in the US. He is certified as Blockchain Expert by Blockchain Council, Information Professional and BPM Practitioner by AIIM and Document Imaging Architect by CompTIA.
During his career at ABBYY, a leading global provider of computer vision technologies, Igor was instrumental in the development and enhancement of Arabic OCR technology and related document and data capture solutions and led the establishment of the company’s first local office in the MEA region – ABBYY IT Dubai. Igor’s track record of digital transformation initiatives includes projects across various industries with major focus on Insurance, Banking and Government sectors.
Among the examples is collaboration with the international organization on automating the processing of ballot papers for the presidential elections in one of the African countries. His project with Yarmouk University, Jordan, which aimed at blending various technologies to empower visually impaired students to study paper textbooks and materials, earned a nomination for the “Best Educational Project” award by Channel Middle East. When he is not studying the new innovative and disruptive technologies, Igor spends his time travelling with his family around the world, playing drums and darbuka and enjoying basketball with his friends. Igor Shkamratov lives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
